This hall is a window not only for presenting creative ideas but also to preserve & grow Indian classical music in unique way. Preservation, Promotion & Passing on to the next generation, the rich cultural heritage of India is the main focus / task of main windows.
Chandorkar Pratishthan is one of the pioneers in introducing morning raga concerts in Jalgaon.Since last 20 years we are organizing this event. Artists all across the India had visited on the auspicious occasion of Deepawali Padva Pahat, is now popular in the audience & it's a treat for music lover. This is a concert of Morning Ragas.
This concert is organized by the Pratishthan to celebrate Vasant Ritu i.e. Spring. For celebrating Vasant Ritu, Pratishthan is organizing a concert which is named as “Vasantotsav”
To pay homage to the great vocalist & stage artist Pt. Narayan Shripad Rajhans alies “Balgandharv” Pratishthan started “Balgandharv Sangeet Mahotsav” at Jalgaon. He was staying at Jalgaon in his Grand Fathers residence. Up to 4th standard he studied in Municipal School No 2. He has donated thousands of rupees which he got as an honorarium to the Brahaman Sabha, Jalgaon. In his presence Balgandharv Khule Natyagruha (Open Theatre) was inaugurated in the year 1960. Keeping all these things in mind we titled this festival as “Balgandharv Sangeet Mahotsav”.

A renowed Classical Vocalist pt. Vishnubuwa Bhakhale , began a music academy named as ‘Gayan Samaj’ Under the name and style of society for propagation of Vocal Musical skill. The storehouse of classical compositions by Pt.Bhaskarbuwa Bakhale and Pt. Krishnarao Fulambriakr was opened up for the learners of Indian Classical Music.
In the Jaipur Lineage (gharana) of Classical Music Rangopant Karkare and Dinkar Khanwale developed as able teachers (Guru) for imparting this skill in vocal music. It was in such a musical backdrop that young Vasantrao, son of Mr. Govindrao Chandorkar, a leading advocate from Dhule and contemporary of great historian Mr. Rajwade, arrived in Jalgaon for his schooling education.
